You should just go all in and work for yourself, Lexy.

I've read your content here and on X. You obviously have the talent to venture out

on your own. Make so much money, health care, and benefits won't be an issue.

Thank you @John P Creed for the encouraging words. It is indeed a goal of mine, but unfortunately it’s not that simple. I have been writing for almost a year now, and it has not brought much results. But at least I am happy doing it and writing about things that I wish other employees know to help them navigate the corporate world with more ease.

It’s a shame you’re not on LinkedIn. I’ll bet a lot of people there would find your newsletter beneficial.

I’ll be sure to recommend yours to my audience.

As long as you’re happy, that’s the most important thing, Lexy.

Cheers.

I would like to be on Linkedin @John P Creed - i know most of my audience is there. But I would get fired the second I would post something that is not strictly work and company related. I had a colleague who used to produce and sell tea in his spare time. The moment he posted this on Linkedin, he got fired. The leadership thought this was a sign he was not dedicated enough to the job (this is the kind of job you have to do a lot of overtime and be on call weekends and holidays etc). It’s the only place I know I need to be but I can’t be. How ironic, isn’t it?

That’s crazy @Lexy M

The best thing the company could do is to be on LinkedIn and encourage employees to post about the company.

It would benefit both.

That’s unfortunate. I had a feeling it was something like that.

I’m sorry. Maybe they’ll have a change of heart.

LinkedIn is tricky for sure. I got into similar trouble for this too.
